so a monster invasion is coming. This isnt something she can ward off with a mere handgun. Although, she can PROBABLY pull it off with that small AR she has, but that's only if she's lucky AF, assuming she's alone. If she's with a group of knights, and she's not afraid of showing off her gun, then its definitely doable. But still risky.

Personally, i feel like she should go back to the modern world, and hire the modern world mercs that she's trading the gold coins to, then bring them to the fantasy world. They can absolutely DEMOLISH that invasion. They'd go full on G.A.T.E. on those monster's asses.

ah, no. that is NOT how mercenaries work. you pay them a flat fee for a period of time, and perhaps a per-kill bonus. they bring their own supplies and suchforth. all she would be responsible for is giving out the cash and transporting the guys from 'here' to 'over there'. if necessary she would also be providing local irregular troops' support and translation tasks. 'hey these are my soldiers. do not bother talking to them they don't speak your language. please clear a swath of area of all your people, this wide, and this long. now stand back everybody. further back. yes further back. 'OK BOYS! dude, in a scale of invasion you can take kingdom treasury at your disposal. Who would say no to that. If you buy a tank, can you drive it? can you maintain it in that kind of civ. And the gas itself is a problem.
That's why there's a saying, if your pipe leak, hire a plumber. You want something killed, you hire a killer, in this case, army.
